Since the Bali Bomb Tragedy happened in October 2002, IDEP has been assisting communities struck by disaster in Indonesia.
For each emergency response initiative IDEP conducts a rapid assessment of needs, while teams of trained local volunteers are on standby able to assist even the most remote communities throughout Indonesia, in a matter of hours. IDEP holds an emergency reserve fund so that when help is needed, assistance can start to arriving directly into the hands of the disaster struck communities within 12 hours of the disaster’s occurrence. This mandate of getting people the help they need, when they need it the most, has filled an enormous gap in addressing many emergency occurrences in Indonesia.
IDEP is very much in need of support so that it can expand the scope of its emergency response initiatives and continue to deliver “intelligent aid” when people need it the most.
