Yayasan IDEP believes that there is a critical need for the education of Indonesia's youth in the fields of eco-literacy and practical problem solving skills to prepare the country's future leaders.
To meet this need, IDEP has developed a learning module, already tested in 100 schools throughout Indonesia, and have the potential to be implemented nationally.
IDEP's learning module includes topics on environmental sustainability, conservation of natural resources, organic farming, waste management, and disaster management.

IDEP provides education about disaster risk reduction and the environment to children across Indonesia. Since 2000, IDEP has been developing and delivering innovative education directly to schools, as well as providing targeted training programs for teachers and partner organizations.
IDEP's Environmental education program for children takes the activities and information provided within Permaculture and Community Based Disaster Management (CBDM) and adapts it specifically for children.
IDEP believes that in disaster prone countries like Indonesia every child has a right to disaster preparedness education because we know that it saves lives.
IDEP focuses on educating Balinese school children on hygiene and gaining awareness regarding their school's compound and environment.
