58 Families of Seed Farmers in Bali Received Family Bucket

As part of IDEP emergency response to COVID-19 pandemic that impacts the Balinese community severely, IDEP distributed Family Bucket to 58 families of seed farmers in Bali on 2-3 July. The farmers are the ones who have been partnering with IDEP to produce local-organic seeds since 2013. They are living in seven districts around Bali, including Gianyar, Bangli, Karangasem, Buleleng, Jembrana, Tabanan, and Nusa Penida. Three weeks earlier, IDEP also held the bucket distribution for 270 affected-families in Kemenuh village, Gianyar.

The bucket consists of food and drinks, medicines and vitamins, sanitary materials, and educational media related to clean-healthy behavior and COVID-19. It is estimated to meet their family needs for 2-4 weeks. Each farmer received one bucket. Other than distribution, the IDEP team also shared educational information about COVID-19 and how to prevent it through clean and healthy behavior.
