Post-Harvest Processed Products For Generating Family Income (Part 3)

On August 10, 2019, IDEP held another Post-harvest Product Processing training for housewives in Nusa Penida. This is the fourth training after previously the same training was held in three hamlets, including Semaya, Tanglad, and Banjar Mawan. This time, the training was held in Batukandik hamlet. The housewives are those who have previously been actively participated in the Family Home-Garden development program that IDEP is working on in four villages on the island.

With this training, they are ready to produce processed products such as vegetable chips, dried herbs, and virgin coconut oil (VCO) from their home-garden harvest. These products can then be sold to generate income for their families.

Aside from hands-on practice, the participants were also invited to learn from the video documentary of IDEP beneficiaries' success story in managing post-harvest product (Photo: IDEP)
